Rebrand of the visual identity of a local Athens 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Books for Keeps, with a friendly, openly enthusiastic, and meaningful visual system.
Developed a re-design of the original logo with an entirely new color system, typography, and creative style along with brand guidelines.
To encourage children’s love for learning and discovery, the logo incorporates a human aspect as well as their name and purpose of providing kids open and equal access to books. The color system were inspired by the colors found in various children’s books.

Personal branding project to campaign The Met’s hypothetical augmented reality wing. The name metA means, “beyond” and signifies change or transformation. This is apt to the concept of engaging an artwork in a new experience through advancing technology. Augmented reality goes beyond the traditional ways of viewing and engaging art at a museum.
The simple wordmark, ‘meta’, is representative of the lens used to see the effects on the artwork exhibited in the new wing. The letter “a” is altered to highlight the overlaying aspect of AR through negative and positive space. It is flipped to create an appearance of AR lens. The letter ‘a’ focuses on the new experience of “meeting” the vast artwork at The Met.
The design stays true to The Met’s brand identity principles using colors inspired from the museum’s ancient artworks such as an ultramarine blue created from lapis lazuli and slight deviation of their iconic red to elevate the Meta brand with The Met’s.
To continue the concept of Meta as a distinct wing within The Met, a humanist and modern typeface called FF Meta & FF Meta Serif by Erik Spiekermann was used.
Touchpoints - app and subway ad (digital) & posters, tote bags (print)
Visual representation of how an artist from Vincent Van Gogh to Marc Lee fits into the visual system. Many rely on using digital graphic devices such as a smartphone and tablets to access AR system/app which the user can interact and learn more about the artwork in front of them. Subway ads are an effective way to promote the new wing.

I designed a french-fold book about a journey I took on my college campus using photos, videos, and Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign. I printed on different colored paper to illustrate the steps that I took to get from point A to point B, and to focus on the transitions of textures of the ground I walked on. The process of making of this book introduced me to bookmaking and book design which I enjoy immensely.

There are many great non-profits that aim to reduce the amount of plastic polluting our oceans, and many individuals are recycling. Unfortunately, it is simply not enough.
The Ocean Cleanup non-profit caught my eye because their solution focuses on a larger-scale operation to such a big problem. They are developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. I was inspired to create a short promotional infographic to raise awareness and to inform the public to their environmental cause.

Forms of Contention cover: The objective was to cleanly, simply, and elegantly convey the meaning of the title and the structure of a sonnet.
Hidden in Plain Sight cover: The objective was to abstractly convey the meaning of the book title through the use of contrasting colors in an expressive way.
“How Books Are Made” infographic & subgraphics: The objective was to visually show & inform the public a shortened version of the publishing process of the UGA Press using their brand colors. *for their website
GOHL Logo ideas: The objective was to create a logo for use in association with the “Georgia Open History Library” project and eventually on the e-books.
